The best unplugged set of the year was The End playing Steel City. On December 29, 2009, The End played to the roar of a capacity crowd. Starting with the seasonal song 6 B.C., the 5-piece’s sound was crystal clean and buoyant. The audience fed off the energy and radiated it back to the stage… giving the band an over-the-top boost. Ending with the song The End Of The End, both band and audience were lifted to new heights. The End Of The End was the beginning of a brand new thing.
Eric Visnov — rhythm guitar
Sean Develin –lead guitar
Joe Mancini — vocals
Anthony Zinno — vocals
Daniel Brouse – keyboards

He once put back together a broken Sitar…which is made from a plant. Check him out. www.elliottguitarsnc.com”
One of the best concert moments of 2009 was Jason Mraz with G-Love and K-naan. When Jason Mraz came to the Festival Pier in Philadelphia, it was a sold out show. The place was packed. As a special surprise for his fans, he performed a set on a special stage set-up in the midst of the audience. The crowd went nuts.
One the best new bands to come out of Philadelphia in 2009 was Valencia. Not only did they obtain substantial radio play (on stations like 104.5), they also toured with Blink 182. Here they are in North Carolina:
