Birdland Music And Recording in Lansdale, PA is run by Baird Parker, son of Charlie Parker, Jr.
Charles “Bird” Parker was born August 29, 1920 and died March 12, 1955. Charlie was an American jazz saxophonist and composer and is still one of the most influential musicians. He was given the nickname “Yardbird” early in his career. Over time, the name became shortened to “Bird”. The name inspired him to write the compositions “Yardbird Suite”, “Ornithology” and “Bird of Paradise.”
Baird Parker is also a talented musician. Together with sound engineer, Guilio Kitao, Baird operates a music store and recording studio.
The End played a special live session on St. Valentine’s Day. After all, what better day for the love of music? The recording experiment was an attempt at capturing and mixing a live “master” from the sound board. The first two songs are these, The End Of The End and Palace At Farnese.
If the experiment succeeds and/or is successful, the next step will be live videos with sweet, sweet, sound.
Recorded in Athony Zinno’s recording studio.
Anthony Zinno: Vocals, Percussion
Eric Viznov: Vocals, Guitar
